• Notes

  At the time of 1930 Census, Sarah was separated from her husband, and was living with her children in Chicago. Sometime after that she went back to Rolette County in North Dakota, where her parents lived. She left her son Douglas with her brother Harvey and his wife Catherine (a Stewart). She took her youngest daughter (Mona) with her to California. She never returned, and was never heard from again. Family sources say she may have died in an earthquake. Her daughter Mona survived, and died in Los Angeles in 1994.
