      . Noah Cotton lived on Oro Concession 10, Lot 14 E 1/2, Oro Twp., Simcoe County, 1837 settlement.
      . 1837 is also the year Mary Cotton settled into Garafraxa Twp., Wellington Co., with her second husband Henry Catchpole. - PJA.

      * A D Ferrier's Reminiscences, from lectures delivered to Farmers & Mechanics Institute, Fergus in 1864. Ferrier recalls his travels starting in 1830-1834.
      . 1834 Jun 3 - The stump of the first tree that had been felled in the bounds of Guelph as then standing & was recently fenced in. the most conspicuous house in Guelph was the Priory, after the agent for the Canada Company in Guelph. There had been a fire in Guelph too & the blackened ruins were still standing.
