      . 1912 Jul 25 Acton. John Leavens of Parry Sound was here this week. He brought Mrs Leavens to Toronto for treatment for her eyesight, which has become much more defective since she left here. She will remain here for a month or two.

      . 1914 Jan 20 - Death claimed another former resident of this place, Mrs. John Leavens, who died at her home in Parry Sound on the 20th inst. Interment took place to Acton cemetery last Friday. Her husband, 2 sons & 1 daughter survive to mourn the loss of a loving wife & mother.
