Historical Objects: Part of the historic past of St. Joseph's lighthouse is pictured above. The chair on the left is an original that was in the lighthouse when it was built. The bible on the chair is dated 1843 had no children of her own but raised her niece Clara Lightner Rosenbaum the chest on which a photo album rests was made for Mrs. Zilpha Jane Chadwick Teetzel by her husband, Charles W. During the Civil War. General B F Chadwich was the first lighthouse keeper. The lighthouse address was 409 Lake Boulevard.
After Jane's mother died, she was adopted by Gen. Benjamin Chadwick of Keeler, Michigan. - - -
