      Saturday 23 May 1903 To Calvin McQuester, Montreal, Quebec, from his mother M B McQuesten. Mrs. Whittemore & Reggie went off yesterday, we had a great time getting them off, Mrs. W. such a helpless person Cannot tell particulars in a letter.

      . 1930 July 15: To Rev. Calvin McQuesten from his mother. - This Daylight S.[saving time] gives us splendid evenings, so hearing from Mrs. Whittemore from Oakville, she was going home, we went down to see her on Monday evening. [ visiting relative Penrose Whittemore?- PJA].

      . 1906 Jul 28 Mrs. Mary Baker McQuesten, from son TBM. - On Tuesday last I went to Mrs. Whittemore's to tea after having put them off for at least 5 weeks. Harry is doing quite well, Mrs. Whittemore says. I am sure he will do much better than he ever would at home.

      . 1908 May 8, Mrs. Whittemore is going to visit Harry & Florrie in Calgary in June. They have not yet got all their belongings. Harry's books have not yet arrived & several other cases. It was 6 months before Florrie's linen arrived & she had to receive without all her handsome things.
      Reggie was in yesterday. He had been out at Waterdown seeing about a horse. He is going to go riding in the evenings. He is certainly very comical. He sends advertisements for Salada Tea to 500 newspapers.

      . 1908 Jun 19 - As I had heard Mrs. Whittemore was going out, I wrote her at once & heard from her this morning. She goes on 30th June, next Tuesday week, taking boat from Owen Sound, & reaching Calgary Saturday morning at 6 o'clock. Hilda also wrote Mrs. Harry Whittemore to look for a boarding place, so we are hoping she will find a comfortable place; we are so thankful Mrs. W. is just going at this time, it would have been so hard for Rudy [McQuesten- TB patient] to start off by herself among strangers, she felt quite cheerful when she knew she was going with Mrs. W. So you can imagine we are busy trying to get her ready, fortunately she had almost everything in the clothing line....(of Ruby) I must say, that I rather begrudged a $100 trip only to see Calgary, but am quite satisfied when it covered a trip to the Rockies. ...don't tell Ruby she is being treated for TB!
