John (Jack) Lawrence Sr. LeSarge
LeSarge, John (Jack) Lawrence Sr.-age 63 years, resident of Marathon, formerly of Port Coldwell, passed away quietly at Wilson Memorial General Hospital, Marathon, Ontario, on Friday, November 29, 1991, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Providence Bay, Manitoulin Island on September 25, 1928. He came to Port Coldwell at the age of 16 years, where he worked for Nicol Bros. Fisheries. He met and Married Elizabeth (Betty) LeBar on June 22, 1946. He leaves behind to mourn his loss, his wife Elizabeth, Sons: Richard (Noella), Toronto; Roy (Ruth), Gordon (Carol), Jack Jr. (Lillian). Daughters: Linda Michano (Mike Dumas), Bev Lajeunesse (Bruce), Myrna LeSarge all of Marathon. Brothers: Morley (Cap) Providence Bay; Robert (Ivy), Wawa, Sister: Marvel Armitage, Sudbury. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, in-laws and many close friends. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary LeSarge, son Murray, brothers Roy, Peter, sisters Anne, Tiny. Arrangements for cremation by Kina's Funeral Home, Schreiber, Ontario. A memorial mass was held on Sunday, December 1, 1991, at 2 pm in Holy Saviour Church, Marathon, Ontario. A graveside memorial service will occur at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers were Leo Horth, Jerry Lamb, John Ross, Duncan Morrison, Henry Majors, and Roger Lavoie. Any so wishing may make donations in Jack's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. May he rest in peace. (handwritten 1991)
