Notes - John Bowlby emigrated from England to Boston, MA. According to the description of Adam Bowlby, his grandson, he was the youngest son of a titled family holding entailed landed estates in England. Adam claimed that John was the only one of his family to emigrate and that the whole family of Bowlbys all over the United States and Canada at that time were descendants of his. He lived to be 99 years, 11 months and 20 days.
The article also referred to "Hannah Ray" as a sister of Thomas (therefore a daughter of John) but the handwritten note with corrections says that this person was, in fact, Nancy (Hawksworth) Reagh already listed in this family tree.
