      CONWAY, Russell Freeman, Captain (Ret'd) - 84, Middleton, passed away A ugust 9, 2000, in the Veteran's Unit of Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Mid dleton. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Clarence and Irene (B arrie) Conway. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family . For 32 years he served in R.C.O.C.- R.C.E.M.E. (army) of the Canadian A rmed Forces with various posting in Canada, including two northern, For t Churchill, Manitoba and Whitehorse, Yukon. He also served overseas du ring the Second World War and in Germany between 1955-1957. He was a fo unding member of the Macdonald Museum, Middleton and enjoyed repairing a nd collecting clocks and watches. He will be sadly missed by his wife, t he former Marie Manuel; nieces, Dolly, Melissa, and Charlene; nephew, R ussell. He waspredeceased by brothers, Clarence and Harold; sisters, Ev elyn and Melissa. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday and funeral s ervice will be 2 p.m. Saturday, both in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Mi ddleton, Rev. Fred Hinxman officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Ce metery, Middleton. Donations to a charity of choice.
