. 1897 Mar 12 - Warren Boadway is now the owner of John Teetzel's dray business having purchased it last week. Mr. Teetzel was compelled to sell on account of ill health.

Death's Doings:
. 1897 Oct 29 - John Teetzel died at his home on Kennetick street, Monday night, Oct. 25, 1897, after a lingering illness from cancer of the throat. He was born in Canada, April 5th, 1827 & was married to Euphemia Zimmerman in July of 1852. Ten children were born to Mr. & Mrs. Teetzel, four of whom are living-Henry, Mrs. Eli Wait, Mrs. Charles Tunis & Mable.
Mr. Teetzel with his wife & daughter Mabel moved to Yale 8 years ago & he engaged in draying & was always an industrious, hardworking man. The funeral was held from the M.E. church on Thursday, Elder L. Clark preaching the sermon. The remains were interred in Elmwood cemetery. A large number of sorrowing friends & relatives were present to pay their last sad respect to one whom was loved by all.
