Notes - Ola never married. When her mother died she lived for a few years with the Holiday family near Star,Miss. When Alphronia (Affie) married Thomas Courtney and moved to Shreveport, Louisiana Ola lived with them. Around 1913 her skirts caught fire and the flames engulfed her. She ran in panic. Affie and a colored man ran after her. When they caught her Affie and the man rolled over and over with her to put out the flames. Affie was burned and Ola died, at about 18 years old, of her severe burns. She is buried in the Courtney plot in Shreveport.
