Notes - Obituary for Ephraim RoutRout – (Overseas with the Canadian Army WW II 1942-1946) Peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family, on Friday, March 22, 2013, Ephraim G. “Eph” Rout, age 88 years. Beloved husband of the former Ruth Gregory for 64 years. Proud father of his only daughter Mary Jane Ball and her husband Frank. Cherished “Bop” of a granddaughter Carolyn, a grandson Greg and Zoe and their children Max and Henry. Sadly missed by his sister-in-law Lois Smith and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Ephraim E. Rout and the former Mapel Clark, a brother Leonard Rout and his wife the former Dorothy McGee, a nephew Barry Rout and a brother-in-law Glen Smith.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at 7 Water St. N., St. Marys (The building operated by the Ball Family for 99 years) on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private family interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery followed by a private celebration of Eph’s life at East Nissouri Union Church with Pastor Jackie Sheridan officiating. In his memory donations to East Nissouri Union Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
