  • Notes 
    • As per Dr W K Burr - "William Wilson walked all the way to Little York (now Toronto) to purchase a farm where he could build a home for his wife and children. A quantity of land consisting of 700 acres owned by a lady by the name of Irvine, and from this lady the Gore takes it name - Irvine Gore. William Wilson secured his farm on the Irvine Gore in 1833. Mr Wilson had to blaze out a road through the forest to what is now known as Gilead Road. His neighbours in the early days were John Goodmurphy and Richard Murphy. Richard Murphy was married to Abigail Bull (sister of Mary Bull). Mr Wilson hired Isaac Gerow to build a barn for him."
      The Irvine Gore is now named WILSON ROAD.
