Petition of William McCutcheon, of the Town of Erin, Yeoman.
Your petitioner is located on the north east quarter of Lot 7, Con 5 of Erin, is thereon located & has cleared nearly 20 Acres.
Your petitioner is of the ability & desirous to settle on & improve a lot of 200 Acres of the waste lands.
That being of ability to improve & another 50 Acres your petitioner humbly prays your Excellency will be please to grant him 100 Acres including the former grant.
& in duty bound your petitioner will ever pray,

Home District [Toronto], John MCutcheon maketh oath & saith that William McCutcheon has cleared & fenced 10 Acres of the North East Quarter of Lot 7, Concession 5 of Erin, & chopped 2 Acres more, & also built a Dwelling House thereon 16 by 20 feet & has also cleared the road in front excepting a few logs purposely left for bridging. I do not find hat the petitioner has received any lands or Order for land. Jno. Ridout, Survey Office.
The petitioner has received a gratuitous grant of 50 Acres under your Excellency's Order in Council of 22 Aug 1821, which was located 4 Sept. 1821 on the NE Quarter Lot 7, Con 5 of Erin.
The Certificate shewing performance of settlement duty has not yet been produced - & the description has issued for the said 50 Acres. Survey Office, Thos. Ridout, Survey General.
In Council,18 Feb.,1824, Recommended if the order of !4 Dec, 1819 may be in order with the advancement of 50 Acres adjacent, be found vacant. Order issued 27 November 1824..

William McCutcheon, M4, Stating that he is located on NE quarter Lot 7, Cn 5, Erin, containing 50 A whereon he resides & Have cleared nearly 20 a, that being of ability to improve another 50 prays that he may receive a grant of 100 A, including the former.
Recommended of the Order of 14 December 1819 may be granted an additional
50 Acres adjacent if found vacant. Signed, W.D.P, signed, P.M.
