  Arrived in Canada on ship Lapland in August 1919 age 28 citation for birth : "England and Wales Birth Registration Index, 1837-2008," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2X13-L2N : 1 October 2014), Jane Russell, 1891; from "England & Wales Births, 1837-2006," database, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : 2012); citing Birth Registration, Salford, Lancashire, England, citing General Register Office, Southport, England. obituary jane (Jen) westell on friday may 7 1982 the former jane westell passed away.at kincardine hospital.She was born in manchester England on july 18 1891 and it was there she married oran westell who was then serving with the canadian expenditionary force.In august 1919 as one of the world war one war brides she came to live in kincardine.A service was held Sunday evening in the chapel of the ladies auxillary of the mcdonald branch of the royal canadian legion.of which she was a life member. conducdted by rev.jr king at the mackenzie mcgrath funeral home.in kincardine.Internment was at kincardine cemetery.Acting pollbears were five nephews russell.bob and bill tout and mac mclean and bert riggin and a great nephew george tout.floral tributes were carried by three grandsaons ian westell,raymond stewart and john jarrell.Following the service a lunch was prepared by the ladies auxillary at the legion hall.Mrs westell is survived by one son john and two daughters susan toot jarrell of kincardine and arlene mcqueen of prince edward island,seven grandchildren and five great grandchildrenShe was predeacseased by her husband her only brother and one grandson.A solo by norman dunsmoor assisted by gerry mcleod complemented the funeral
