    • Lewis Neff was an entrepreneur. He built the first electric plant in the area and supplied the town of Syracuse, IN with their first electricity. He also had a cement factory in Syracuse. He also owned 6-7 gasoline stations and owned a hotel in Miami, FL. When the stock market crashed in 1929 he lost it all. This all was obtained by William Neff from Harold Neff, the great-grandson of Lewis.
