      ELKHART TRUTH, FRIDAY, JULY 11, 1969:
      NEW PARIS – The Rev. Raleigh R. Neff, 82, of Syracuse Rt. 1, died in Goshen General Hospital Thursday night. He had been a
      patient there since July 2 after suffering a stroke at home. Born in Jackson Township June 19, 1887, he married Amanda Deeter
      Sept. 1, 1907. He was a farmer and had taught school. He had been an elder in the Bethany Church of the Brethren since 1909.
      Surviving with his wife are one son, Emerson, Syracuse; one daughter, Mrs. Kenton (Mary Jane) Blosser, Goshen; eight
      grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two brothers, J. Abe and George, both of Goshen. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at
      the Bethany Church of the Brethren, four miles south of New Paris. The Rev. James C. McKinnell, pastor, will officiate. Burial will
      be in Violett Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Reith,Rohrer & Ehret Funeral Home in New Paris Saturday from 7 to
      9 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. The body will be taken to the church Monday at 1 p.m.
