  Foulden Blacksmith, according to Jeffrey/Miller Family tree from Annie Bradshaw (Library/Andrew Jeffrey Cousins/James Jeffrey b1684/Item 1) Killed in a freak accident at the smithy. According to an account in a booklet self-publsihed for the family by Elaine Bradshaw in 2016: "When James jumped (onto a wagon to inspect some farm machinery to be repaired) the horse spooked, throwing him to the ground, then backed up so that the cartwheel rolled over James' neck. He died instantly." (ref: "James Jeffrey, Head Gardener at Caversham Park 1888-1894") Gravestone transcription shows date of death as June 9th
