Willam Burton who served his Country overseas -- Enlisted January 4th, 1916 in World War 1 has been a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, USA since 1920 and is at present visiting with his mother, Mrs. Robert Y. Burton Sr. Concession No. 9 -- Lot 13. Willie, as he is known to his Elders Mill's School mates and friends in general, will extend his visit to Woodbridge Fair when he will reunite with many friends of long ago.

Mrs Robert Burton Celebrates Her 75th Birthday
A happy gathering of immediate relatives met at her home Lot 13, Con 9, on Thurs. Dec 10th to celebrate her 75th birthday. Mrs Burton enjoys excellent health & attends to the household duties of her sons Gideon & Robert who operate the original Burton homestead of the late Henry Burton who settled there in 1830.
Mrs Burton before marriage, was Margaret Annie Lawrence, daughter of the late Mr Mrs Isaac Lawrence of Clairville & is the mother 12 children, 11 of whom are living. They are:
Mrs Duncan Fimis, Toronto Gore;
Mrs Wm. Dunn, Pickering;
Mrs Wm. Truxton, Kansas City, Mo;
Mrs Donald Beaton, Wyoming, USA;
Willam, Kansas City, Mo.;
Orville, Toronto Gore;
Frank, Keewatin;
Alvin & Charlie, Manitoba.
Mrs Burton was presented with a pendant by her family. Her brother, Townley Lawrence, address the gather. Mrs Burton takes a keen iterate in old affairs & is particularly active in matters concerning the Presbyterian church.

After an illness of about 3 weeks, Mrs Robert Burton passed away in Peel memorial hospital on January 27. She suffered a paralytic stroke 3 weeks ago.
formerly Miss Margaret Ann Lawrence, was a daughter of the late Mr Mrs Isaac lance & was born at Clairville 76 year ago She had been a lifelong ember of Know Presbyterian church, Elders Mills. Mr Burton passed away about 11 years ago. His father , the late Henry Burton, settled at the Tenth concession in Vaughan township in 1830. It was on this farm in 1930 that the first Burton reunion was held just 100 years to a day after the farm was settled. Mrs. Burton is survived by 7 sons & 4 daughters. They are Gildeon, Orval & Robert, at home; William Kansas City, Frank, Keewatin: Alvin & Charles at Borssevan, Manitoba; Mrs Duncan Fines, Claireville; Mrs Wm. Dunn, Brougham, Markham Twp; Mrs Wm. Tuxon, Kansas City; & Mrs Donald Beaton, Wyoming. The eldest son, harry, passed on 25 years ago.
the surviving brothers & sisters are: Wm. Lawrence, Virden, Man; Huver Lawrence, Medicine Hat; Townley Lawrence, Toronto; Charles Lawrence, Pipestone, Man; Mrs Ida Cassan, Toronto, Mrs William Dennison, Streetsville; & Mrs Thomas Pierson, Weston.
