Funeral Services Held For William Felker
Funeral services were held for William Felker, 86, who passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs John Phillips, on July 16. Felker was well known in Paradise for he had spent much of his time here at various intervals, the remainder of the time being spent in the southern part of the state.

Services were held in the Congregational Church on Monday, July 20, at 2:30 p.m. The Reverend W.H.L. Marshall officiated & 2 songs, 'Rock of Ages & "God Understands: were sung by Miss Elaine West & Mrs Grace West. Many lovely floral pieces came from the friends who had learned to know the kind, elderly gentleman.
Interment occurred in the Paradise cemetery.  - - -

THE LATE MRS COLLINS, the many friends of Mrs. Amanda Felker, wife of Mr. Joseph B Collins, were shocked last evening to hear of her death which occurred at the General Hospital, following doubt 6 weeks' serious illness. The late Mrs. Collins was the youngest daughter of the late Wm. Felker, one of the pioneers of Garafraxa & come to Guelph with her parents about 28 year ago [1883]. Twenty-two years ago last April she married Mr. Collins who is one of the oldest employees of the Raymond Company. In addition to her husband 4 children survive. The are Misses Viola & Jessie & masters Frank & Roswell, all at home. 3 sister & 1 brother also survive. They are Mrs. Dobbin of Minneapolis; Mrs. Messner of Morre, Montana; Mrs. E L Lindsay, of Duluth, Minn; & Mr. Wm. Felker, located in Western Canada.

Deceased had been a consistent member of the Norfolk St. Methodist Church for many years, but owing to ill health she was prevented fro taking an active part in the church work for the past few years. She was a devoted wife & mother & her interests were centred chiefly in her home. There her loss will be most keenly felt, although there is also a large circle of friends who feel that they have also sustained a personal loss in her removal from their midst.

Owing to the death of Mrs. Collins, the GMS Band, of which Mr. Collins is secretary & manger, held no concert last evening. The members of the Woodmen of the World of which he is also secretary, dispensed with business other than arranging for a delegation to attend the funeral, which will be held on Monday afternoon, there being a private service at the residence, 59 Strange Street at 3:30 & interment taking place at the Union Cemetery at 4 o'clock. - - -
