Mrs. Rudd is a daughter of the late Walter Meikleham & was born in Erin, but left for the US with her parents when 6 years old.

. 1917 July 15 - Small Boy is Bitten on Keen by Rattlesnake, Special Dispatch to the Miner:
Big Timber, July 14. The first rattlesnake bite this season is reported from the home of Mr Mrs Alfred Rudd ling on Big Timber creek near the city. There little son Otis, 10 years old was bitten i the knee while the reptile was suspended in the air, the lad having pulled him out of his hole by the tail. The boy was rushed to town & received treatment immediately by the a local physician & is revving nicely.
