. 1901 May 10 May Term of Court is Open, Anaconda. The case of the sate vs. Fred King was called & the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge of killing an elk out of season, whereupon the trial was son on 20th. the defendant was implicated with several others in destroying elk near Helmsville as December.

. 1904 Feb 25 - The Dunning, Frank McDonald & Fred King came up fro Missoula las night & are stopping at the Southern.
. 1915 Jan 10 - Garrison News. Fred King came down Tuesday from Helmsville, where he has been for the past 2 months, for a short visit with friends here in Avon.
. 1915 Aug 23, Garrison Fred King returned Wed. from Dempsey where he has been employed at road work for the past several weeks.
