Mr Burton passed away about 11 years ago. His father , the late Henry Burton, settled at the Tenth concession in Vaughan township in 1830. It was on this farm in 1930 that the first Burton reunion was held just 100 years to a day after the farm was settled. Mrs. Burton is survived by 7 sons & 4 daughters. They are Gildeon, Orval & Robert, at home; William Kansas City, Frank, Keewatin: Alvin & Charles at Borssevan, Manitoba; Mrs Duncan Fines, Claireville; Mrs Wm. Dunn, Brougham, Markham Twp; Mrs Wm. The 1940 reunion of the William and Edward kersey branch was held in Springbank Park with members present from Watford, London, Windsor, Paris, Strathroy, Hagersville, Croton, Kincardine, Millbank, Woodbridge, Weston, Port Credit, Bolton, Georgtown, Walkerville, Detroit, Dreseden & Oswasso, Michigan.
Townley Lawrence, Toronto, past president conducted the business meeting for the 1941 reunion. Elected officers for 1941 were: Pres. Rev Geo. Kersey, Kincardine; VP, Joseph Kersey, Woodbridge, Sec treasurer, Rev S E Stevenson, Millbank; spots committee, Lloyd White, Parid; Mae Kersey, Woodbridge, Freeman Kersey, Georgetown, Aileen Kersey, Bolton.

Addresses given by: Harry Burton, Port Credit; Alex Lawrence, Weston, Geo Kersey, Oswaso, Mich. Rev S E Stevenson, Millbank. A birthday cake was donated by Mrs. Wm. Gardner, Windsor as a remembrance of her mother Mrs. Sarah Hume who died in her 100th year last year. Mrs. Sarah Hume was the last surviving daughter of the late Edward Kersey who came from England around the year 1821.

In the afternoon 90 members of the Kersey clan participated in the sports program conducted by Tobias Kersey, Strathroy, assisted by Freeman Kersey, Georgetown and Missess Ailee and Jean Kersey, Bolton. The oldest woman present was Mrs. Gardner, Walkerville; old man, Jonathan Kersey, Dresden: youngest child present Lawrence William Burton, Woodbridge; family who came the longest distance, George Kersey's family, Owassgo, Michigan.

. During the 1920-40s, Charles & Catherine Lawrence operated a dairy farm. In early years, Charles owned & drove a pacer, Ben Mac. This horse won more than its share of races.
Catherine in addition to raising a large family was active in community affairs. She was a past matron of the Eastern Star, past president & honorary treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion & past president & life member of the United Church Women.
Charles passed away on July 17, 1966 & Catherine passed away on Nov. 25, 1981. They were both in their 89 years at the time of their passing.

Football: The Claireville Rustics, one of Peel's notable football teams, was organized in 1883 & played its first contest against the Churchville Tigers, a tie game in which neither team was able to score. At Woodbridge Fair in 1886, the Rustics competed in a football tournament in which which Richmond Hill defeat Claireville for the first prize $25. Claireville's team was at its best in 1886 & 1887. It disbanded about 890 after numbering in its ranks such well-known foot-ballers as: Elisha Lawrence & William E T Lawrence.

Miss Sarah margaret Lawrence who died on Fri. Jun 12th, following many months illness was buried in St. John's Cemetery, Toronto Gore, on Monda ylast with Rev J Kidd in share. Mis Lawrence was a daughter of the late John R & Annie Kersey lawrence, pioneers in Peel County 7 was born at Clairville white she lived until coming to Woodbridge on retirement from the farm.
Deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs Geo. Eckland, Woodbridge, 4 brothers: Elisha William of Toronto, Isaac of Clairville, Ollie, West & John Thomas of British Columbia.
