The Children of Peace was dissolved in 1889. Absolom Willson owned the Sharon Temple and Meeting Houses; he was one of heir last members. Absalom sold the Second Meeting House for lumber, the funds from which were supposed to pay for the upkeep of the Children of Peace cemetery. He initially gave the Temple to the Christian Church, in the hopes that they would start a congregation in Sharon and thus maintain the buildings. When they were unable to do so, they returned the Temple to Absalom. He sold the farm and Temple on his retirement, and the Temple was then sold to the York Pioneer Historical Society in 1917. His wife and children were members of the Church of England. He was a prominent Mason for more than 50 years, being first accepted in 1870; he had a perfect attendance record for 11 of those years even though he had to walk miles to go to lodge. he was master of the Sharon lodge in 1889, 1890 and 1896.

Obituary: Grandson of builder of Sharon Temple was buried Monday
Absolam Wllson, Buried on Monday, after funeral services at the home where he lived practically all his life. Interment in Queensville cemetery.
The late Mr. Willson died early Saturday in his 89 year. His grandfather, David Willson, was a pioneer in that district after coming from NY, founding the sect when the Quaker church eh attended disapproved of music.
Surviving are one sone F A Wilson, Souris, Man.,
and 2 daughters, Mrs Willard D Grose of Sharon
