Left New York in 23 year of Mayestys' reign, & from his remote situation after his arrival on the River St. Johns was never informed of the American Loyalist Commission for Losses, until February 1784, when he prepared for voyage to prepare his Claim & upwards of hundred Claims of other poor unfortunate Loyalist settled on the River. But not until April 1785 when he embarked at Parrs Town, now City of Saint John & arrived the last of May in London & immediately waited upon the Commissioners for the Losses & Services of American Loyalists accompanied by His Excellency Governor Tryon when he was informed by the Commissioners that the time was expired the this is the reason his Claim was delayed.
