. 1883 Sep 6. Richmond Hill. Dr W Oldright, chairman of the Provincial Board of Health, Provicne of Ontario, being present, stated a complaint had been made to the Prov.Bd. of Health, concerning certain nuances calculated to be injuries to the village.
. An interesting Meeting. Dr. Oldright attended a Council meeting on Monday night & address them a large number or ratepayers at some length upon the sanitary conditions of certain parts of the village not being properly looker after.

Dr. Oldright descended from military ancestors. His grandfather was a burgher of Frankfort-on-Main. He having contracted a 2nd marriage, his son left home & joined the British army when Napoleon Bonaparte's military genius. His mother was Elizabeth Clucas, from the Isle of Man. In 1854 his father's retirement he resided in Nova Scotia for a short time. He then attended Brantford High School & entered University college graduated in modern languages in 864 & medicine in 1865. He began practice at Walkerton, Not for 2 years & returned to Toronto in 1867. He became a lecturer on Sanitary Science in the Toronto School of Medicine.
In 1865 he married Sarah Ellen, daughter of Charles Duran, Esq., to this city. - - - [1]
