Isabella Jane Sidey – William Campbell

William Campbell, a maternal Great-Great-Grandfather, was extremely difficult to link definitively to his original family in Aberdeenshire, Scotland due to the fact that he had a relatively common surname, as well as a frequently occurring first name, and that he migrated “as a single man” to Canada in about 1842, a time from which few passenger manifests survive to document his journey.  The following section titled “In Search of William Campbell” details some of the research and analysis I did over the period of a decade to establish William Campbell’s family origins in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
